Anurag Sangwan: UPSC Topper with a Vision
Hailing from the village of Chandeni, Anurag Sangwan has made a significant mark as a topper in the UPSC exams. Chandeni, renowned for contributing numerous young individuals to the armed forces in Haryana, has seen 29 officers commissioned from its midst. However, the village has also faced the sacrifice of 21 brave souls who gave their lives in service to the nation.
Anurag, a recent Class-12 graduate and the sole child in his family, has parents engaged in the field of education. His father manages a car company in Gurugram, while his mother serves as a math teacher in a private school.
Inspired by his grandfather, a former social science teacher in the village, and supported by his grandmother, who was also an educator, Anurag has a deep passion for learning. Described as exceptionally bright and self-driven by his father, Anurag utilizes the internet as a valuable resource for self-study.
Having undergone a 10-day training program in Nagpur, Anurag achieved an outstanding 99.9% score in his 10th-grade exams. Grateful for the support from his teachers, parents, grandparents, and friends, he particularly acknowledged his mother’s assistance in his favorite subject, mathematics. Anurag expressed his aspirations to serve his country and become a valuable member of the defense forces.
